			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Third Round of the Third Sector Capacity Fund is now open for  Expressions of Interest.</p>
<p>The Third Sector Capacity Fund wishes to  invest in projects and activities involving Third Sector organisations  which support the North East region in responding to the recession. In  this round we have prioritised three themes: financial inclusion,  supporting a market place for mergers, and ensuring equality of economic  opportunity – specifically from existing or planned physical investment  in the region.</p>

<p>The overall aims of  the Third Sector Capacity Fund are to:</p>

<li>Build the capacity of the       third sector to engage and  contribute strategically to sustainable       economic development;</li>
<li>Grow and demonstrate the       contribution that the third  sector makes to sustainable economic       development;</li>
<li>Develop or expand activities that lead to greater financial  and/or  organisational sustainability within third sector organisations.</li>
