The Third Sector Capacity Fund will be allocated through an open and competitive bidding round which comprises two stages:

• Expression of Interest: All organisations and partnerships wishing to apply will, ordinarily, be asked to complete a short Expression of Interest form. The Managing Agent may choose to spot projects that have the potential to link together at the Expression of Interest stage (for example to create beneficiary progression routes or address a particular strategic priority) and invite organisations to submit joint or complementary Full Applications.

• Full Application: Prospective projects will be invited to submit a Full Application. The Managing Agent, working on behalf of One North East will assess all applications in order to produce a shortlist of projects for funding. The Full Application will require a detailed description of the proposed project so that it can be scored and assessed against key criteria including its fit with strategic priorities, deliverability and value for money. Applicants will also need to submit a fully costed project budget and, where applicable, provide copies of letters of intent for proposed partnerships.
